Creative thinking
“Portraying Iranian female athletes was my first aim when I decided to become a photojournalist. Not only to record their achievements and what they made possible, but also the social implications, and to bear witness to what I had experienced firsthand, having been an athlete myself. Photography is the most immediate, most powerful tool we have to describe reality and its implications.”
